Pup Crew’s Final Pupdate!
To reach our goal, we found healthy recipes for dog treats, made them, and sold them for a suggested donation of $10 per bag. Flavors included gluten-free peanut butter and pumpkin, and grain-free sweet potato and bacon. Being an agency, we had to have cute, pup-themed images, inspired packaging and cookie-cutter-shaped treats, of course.
We set out on weekends throughout the summer, and would pup up at locations like Push & Pour, Form & Function, Dog Island at Ann Morrison Park, downtown in the Grove, and we even had a Yappy Hour at Hops & Bottles to help us reach our final goal—huge shout out to every business that let us sell our treats at their establishment! Everyone from DM chipped in either by showing up at the various locations and bringing their pup (always a good conversation starter), purchasing treats or helping supply ingredients so we could bake our Mutt Munchies.
We are extremely excited to announce that we were able to exceed our goal and raise $1,100 for the Idaho Humane Society! And we are super excited we exceeded our goal and contributed to such an amazing cause.
Last week we hosted a small gathering to present our donation to the Idaho Human Society. Chief Development Officer James Hillig stopped by and graciously accepted the $1,100 check and gave us the skinny on the IHS’s new building and what it will house. The new building will provide better shelter conditions for animals, a newer, larger Medical Center and teaching hospital, and a classroom for humane education for the public.
