Welcome Summer 2023 Interns
116 & West
The Go West summer internship program fosters the burgeoning careers of a select group of ambitious students or recent graduates who are eager to make a splash in the advertising world. Our 2023 interns will immerse themselves in the industry, learn creative strategy, and foster new connections. Meet the next generation of advertising rock stars:
Noah Woodring:
Hey everyone! My name is Noah Woodring, and I am entering my second year of the Graphic Design program at Boise State University. I am originally from Montana and love being outdoors in any capacity (hiking, biking, swimming, you name it.) I recently bought an inflatable paddle board that I am excited to try out this summer! In my spare time, you can find me hanging out with friends, trying out new restaurants, or nose-deep in a good book.
Fun Fact: When I was 18, my optometrist discovered a hole in my eye (well, a small tear, really, but a hole sounds cooler). I had laser eye surgery to seal the hole so it didn’t get larger and impair my vision.
Indigo Blauch-Chappell:
Hi! My name is Indigo, and I am a recent graduate with a degree in marketing and digital media from The College of Idaho. I am originally from Idaho and love any creative activity, from painting murals to digital design. I paint windows for local businesses and explore the outdoors in my free time. I am eager to learn more about the agency world at 116 & West and dive deeper into some of the skills it takes to stay afloat and thrive in this industry.
Fun Fact: I memorized about 100 digits of Pi for a contest in the 4th grade. The person who could recite the most digits would win an actual pie. I didn’t win, but I still have all the numbers completely memorized in song form.
Makena Herb:
Hi, everyone! My name is Makena Herb. I’m from the Boise area and just graduated from the University of Idaho last month with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and a minor in marketing. Go, Vandals! I love how versatile advertising is and how it challenges us to utilize creativity and planning. I love the Boise area for its amazing outdoors, food, and local feel. I love hiking, especially in the Sawtooth Mountains, biking the Boise Greenbelt, and hanging out at local coffee shops. You can find me at the farmers’ market on Saturdays, buying all the plums and peaches I can carry home.
Fun Fact: I am named after Makena Beach in Hawaii. I’ve never been, but it’s on my bucket list!
Our team is excited to have them in the office and ready to tackle the industry!
