Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Idaho was our 2020 Partner116 recipient. And, as you could probably guess from their organization’s mission, they’re amazing people. What started out as a website project became an incredibly fulfilling partnership, providing both of us opportunity for growth and learning. We’re really pumped about what we produced!

Virtual Gala

The annual fundraiser Magical Moments went virtual in 2020. Unsure how to do it, BBBS asked for help. We completed 60 hours of filming, editing, and producing the prerecorded elements to bring the online event to life. For the event itself, we went full tech-geek in order to seamlessly integrate the prerecorded elements, teleprompter info, real-time donation updates, and live portions together for the live stream on YouTube.


The live portion of the event was vital in making our client’s event feel like the gala they are used to hosting. To accomplish this, we made sure to cut to a live feed of their CEO, Emily Johnson, throughout the pre-recorded footage. The gala, despite being online, was a resounding success. Big Brothers Big Sisters received almost double their goal for donations! We’re so proud of our Partner116 friends and honored to have been a part of this event.


Before we began any work, we audited BBBS’s branding and messaging. We discovered some inconsistencies and gaps that we worked with them to improve. From there, we made recommendations for their messaging strategy in order to help them maintain their brand voice and style—through email, social posts, website copy, and the like!

Before we did any designing, we worked with the BBBS team to establish their website needs and goals. We designed and built their website keeping those things in mind. What we created for them was beautiful, of course, but was also clear and easy to use. We made experience improvements, like integrating the signup sheet from the national brand’s site, clarified navigation, and cleaned up copy.
